Pop singer Olivia Rodrigo is set to close the first Daisy Chain Fields music festival on Saturday at Great Park in Irvine. The event marks the debut of the gathering and features exclusively female performers.
The roster includes Chappell Roan, Doechii, Garbage, Mitski, The Breeders, Bikini Kill, Santigold and several additional acts. Special guests scheduled to appear are Karen O, Sarah McLachlan and Stevie Nicks.
Weather forecasts indicate temperatures could climb to 93 degrees during peak performance times, according to ABC7 Los Angeles. Festival organizers have arranged five hydration stations, five cooling stations, shaded zones and medical tents across the grounds.
Two stages will operate without overlapping sets so attendees can view every performance. Rodrigo is slated to take the Dandelion Stage from 8:40 to 10 p.m.
All net proceeds will support groups focused on advancing opportunities for women and girls, including Baby2Baby, the Center for Reproductive Rights and Planned Parenthood. Rodrigo described the festival as the realization of a longtime goal when it was announced in June.
She highlighted the lineup of personal heroes and friends, stating that music and community can promote positive change. The event continues her Fund 4 Good efforts, which began in 2024 to back reproductive rights and related causes.
Irvine Councilman William Go called the festival a key step toward establishing the city as a premier cultural location. Attendance may reach as many as 45,000 people.
