Los Angeles police are examining a break-in at a Superior Grocers outlet in South Los Angeles that occurred during an illegal street takeover early Sunday.
According to ABC7 Los Angeles, roughly 20 or more individuals forced their way into the store at Manchester Avenue and San Pedro Street.
Officers reached the scene near 4:30 a.m. and detained one person, while store employees inside moved to the second floor and secured the area.
Investigators have not determined the value of items removed, and no information has been released on when the business will reopen.
