Surveillance footage recorded in 2023 at a Big Sav store on Glenoaks Boulevard in Glendale shows a man identified as Calese Crowder in a squatting position directly behind a woman who was stocking shelves. The video was released after his most recent arrest and has drawn attention to a series of similar reports at the same location.
Glendale police took Crowder into custody on August 28 after multiple witnesses described him approaching customers and staff at the store and crouching nearby. Officers also responded to a comparable report at a nearby Marshalls and reviewed video from both businesses to confirm his identity.
Store manager Jimmy Koh stated that the August incident marked the third time Crowder had displayed this behavior on the premises. "I know he's harmless, but it's a weird fetish," Koh said. He added that Crowder would look around before attempting to sniff women's buttocks and described the first encounter as creepy.
Authorities determined that Crowder had violated the conditions of his parole and placed him in custody without bail. He has prior convictions for lewd conduct in Glendale and Burbank that extend back to 2021, and he previously admitted to a parole violation that resulted in more than 100 days in jail.
Crowder faced another arrest in August 2025 after a similar report at a Walgreens in Burbank. Police connected the incidents through surveillance reviews and witness accounts, confirming his repeated involvement in the reported activities.
