Los Angeles Rams owner Stan Kroenke has reached an agreement to buy the Angels from current owner Arte Moreno, according to FOX 11 Los Angeles. The transaction is expected to finalize in 2027 once it receives approval from Major League Baseball, though financial details remain private.

Moreno purchased the Angels in 2003 from The Walt Disney Company for $184 million. Over more than two decades of ownership, the team reached the postseason on just two occasions, with the most recent appearance occurring in 2014.

Fans gathered outside the stadium shared their reactions with FOX 11 Los Angeles reporters. One supporter described the development as incredibly exciting news that benefits the fans, the team and the community. Another expressed relief at the prospect of returning to a winning team after limited success since 2002.

A third fan emphasized the need for improved organizational structure, suggesting that better management could position the club for success within a few years. Several supporters pointed to Kroenke's track record with other teams as a reason for optimism.

Angels star Mike Trout addressed the sale before Tuesday's game. He stated that the change was needed and that he holds no hard feelings toward Moreno, while adding that he is super excited about the future and noting a positive atmosphere in the clubhouse and stadium.

Kroenke Sports & Entertainment already controls the Rams, the Denver Nuggets, the Colorado Avalanche and Arsenal Football Club. Those teams have secured a Super Bowl title, an NBA championship and a Stanley Cup in recent seasons.

While no one anticipates an immediate turnaround, fans told FOX 11 Los Angeles they will monitor progress closely once the sale clears regulatory hurdles in 2027.
