Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman appeared together at the premiere of Practical Magic 2 in Westwood, Los Angeles. They are set to reprise their roles as the Owens sisters from the 1998 original in the sequel scheduled for theaters on September 10, according to ABC7 Los Angeles.

The pair personally invited reporter George Pennacchio to the event. Bullock stated, “There is not this without this,” while Kidman recalled telling him they would see him the next night, leaving him surprised until the invitation arrived later.

Kidman observed that vocal fan requests helped bring the project forward and described the experience as enjoyable after working on more demanding films. The sequel follows one of Bullock’s on-screen daughters as she seeks to end the family curse affecting romantic relationships, with the man she loves played by Xolo Maridueña.

Maridueña remarked on the development by saying, “It’s been a long time coming and now the cat's out of the bag, you know?” The red carpet carried a playful tone, with co-star Joey King wearing wings for the occasion. Bullock noted that she now prioritizes enjoying the process, adding that time is precious and she intends to appreciate every aspect of it.
